Your book is your baby, and it takes a village.

The best part about self-publishing your book is holding fast to creative control. When it comes to your story, how it looks on the page, and how it's represented on the cover, you call the shots. This doesn't mean you have to do it alone, though, and collaborating with a professional is the best thing you can do for your book. As an editor, proofreader, designer, cover artist, and former marketing consultant, I have the skills and tools to catapult your project into the next level.

I've been working directly with authors for three years, and my background as a bookseller and assistant editor at a hybrid press means I'm well-equipped to be your publishing resource as well as your creative partner. If you don't know where to start, reach out for a free discovery call where we'll unpack your goals and determine what services are right for you. My wide skill set means that we can work together from developmental editing to cover design, saving you the hassle of researching many professionals. Or maybe you already have a great editor but need proofreading and layout. That's great too; tap me in. On a budget? I get it. I'll let you know what you can skip and offer a one-and-done flat rate. Overall, my goal is to create an enjoyable experience that keeps you feeling informed, cared for, and proud of the extraordinary accomplishment that is introducing a new book into the world. So let's get started!

Editorial

There are many tiers of editing, and it doesn't help that editors and publishers can't agree on definitions. I've laid out my version to give you the jist, but my goal is to accommodate your needs and budget. If you want a hybrid edit, reach out and we can come up with something just for you.

Design

Once your writing is polished and ready, you still need to format it for print or electronic publication. Sloppy layout for both print and ebooks can be the reason your book ends up in the DNR pile, so its important to have a professional ensure your book is beautiful, accessible, and easy to read. I design everything from novels to reference guides, and each book I work on is original and unique. Collaboration is key, and I'll make sure you love every detail from the font to the footnote.
